Finally, a private island for sale

From time to time I have commented that while the Sotheby’s International Realty website lists a variety of categories of properties for sale, I have been disappointed that there have not been any private islands (or haciendas for that matter) for sale here on the North Shore.

But it’s a different story on the South Shore and so I am delighted to be able to report that Robert Paul Properties has listed Sipson Island for sale at what seems a very reasonable $12.5 million (only a little more than Chelsea Clinton paid for her New York apartment). The 25-acre island has a 4,400 sf house amongst its buildings and is only a 3-minute boat ride to the mainland of South Orleans.
