More positive stories about Revere’s future

As a follow up to my earlier post A positive future for Revere I am including an article Revere focuses on new uses for old racetracks from today’s Boston Globe echoing those positive comments.

The major development mentioned is Waterfront Square, whose website lists these recent City improvements:

  • $131 million in four new schools with a fifth underway
  • $14 million for a new community focused police headquarters
  • $9 million in two new fire stations
  • $11 million for beach restoration
  • $20 million in water & sewer infrastructure improvements

Revere’s proximity to Boston is demonstrated in this map:

Positive developments in Revere should help its housing market, where the median price of a SFH is still more than 15% below its 2005 peak.
