Trulia’s “statistics” now even worse

My post Why I don’t rely on Trulia last week generated a lot of views, so I was intrigued to see what the weekly Marblehead Weekend Update would bring this week.

Well, guess what? For exactly the same time period – October 14 to January 15 – for which Trulia reported just 3 sales last week at a median price of$310,000, this week is states: “The median sales price for homes in Marblehead MA for Oct 14 to Jan 15 was $289,000 based on 2 home sales.”

So last week there were 3 sales in that time frame, but this week only 2.

As a reminder in the time frame mentioned  there were actually 60 SFH sales at a median price of $624,000 and 11 condo sales with a median price of $275,000.

Last year Zillow bought Trulia for $3.5 billion. I wonder what they would pay for Oliver Reports which publishes accurate and useful information? Please contact me with offers over $4 billion. OK try me at $3.5 billion and we can talk.
