Farewell Omicron? Hello a more normal life?

Because this is real time information and covers all households – not just those who are tested or report self-testing results – it is considered both the most reliable source as well as being an early indicator of infections.

There is, of course, always the risk of a new variant emerging, but with so many of us vaccinated there does at least seem to be a cause for optimism that life may be able to return to a more familiar pattern in the near future. Risks remain – think Ukraine and ever higher inflation, but the latter at least is in part because of the strength of the economy, while a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine crisis should see a drop in oil prices.
