No snow this winter, says El Nino
Well, that’s not exactly what this Washington Post article El Nino intensifying says but it does include the forecast of “a warmer than normal winter over large parts of the U.S.”
And after last winter we’ll take that.
What is an El Nino?
According to The Weather Channel:”El Niño is an anomalous, yet periodic, warming of the central and eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean. For reasons still not well understood, every 2-7 years, this patch of ocean warms for six to 18 months.”
I well remember playing golf in January in a previous El Nino, so I don’t plan to put my clubs away this coming winter. No snow? Maybe not. But maybe not very much.
