Million dollar homes sales in Essex County – better, but still below peak

Million dollar home sales in Essex County continue to recover from their Great Recession lows, but are unlikely to approach the level of the boom years of 2005-2007.

As one gauge, the number of sales YTD plus pending sales – 136 – is 59% of the peak of 231 in 2005. This compares with 89% in Marblehead (included in the 59%). Essex County excluding Marblehead, therefore, is running at just 53%.
